e-Safety

We take Internet safety very seriously at Nethergate Academy and take all the appropriate measures possible to keep our students safe when accessing the internet and other communication technologies in school. However, we also appreciate that, outside of the protective school environment and systems we have in place, the Internet can be a worrying place for some. With this in mind, ALL pupils throughout school are taught e-Safety (including the safe use of mobile phones and game consoles) and students in Primary and KS3 are even formally assessed on their knowledge and understanding of e-Safety. To help raise awareness we participate in the national 'Safer Internet Day' each year and also offer e-Safety coffee mornings for parents/carers.
